Sabrina Ferilli is far from a shrinking violet, once giving
millions of TV viewers and local spectators a very provocative and impromptu
striptease at an AS Roma game in Italy's Serie A football league.
It's all about the football in Italy.
In actual fact, Sabrina is a massive fan of the Roma
football club, being a Roman herself, and indeed sat on the board of AS Roma's
aptly named Fans Council.
But let's first look at where it all started for the
much-loved Italian luminary and actor. Born on June 28, 1964, in Rome (Italy),
Sabrina had always been fond of acting, and held theatre in high regard.
Sabrina's professional acting career has spanned almost two
decades, and she's widely regarded as the Sophia Loren of her time and has a
massive following in Italy.
Besides a plethora of European films, Sabrina has also
worked on calendars, advertising campaigns and the odd modeling job - and it's
not hard to see how she came across such work; the term sex-bomb is often used
when referring to the glamorous Italian.
In 1986, Sabrina plied her trade in the local Italian drama
circuit, the 'Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia'.
By the mid-1990s, Sabrina's popularity wasn't showing any
signs of waning, and in 1996 she was chosen to co-host the Internationally
broadcasted Sanremo Song Festival, which is arguably one of Italy's most-loved
events, elevating the gorgeous actor to even greater heights in her
celebrity-hungry home country.
She also holds the record for the most popular Italian Max calendar,
which she featured in during 2001, and which sold more than 1 million copies -
testament to her incredible popularity.
The highest sold Italian Max calendar is the Sabrini Ferilli
edition of 2001, which sold over one million copies.
Today, Sabrina Ferilli lives a fairly private (for Italian
standards) life in Italy, with her feline and canine pets and you can bet your
first born that she'll be appearing in quality European films for quite some
time, as she truly is an exceptionally talented woman.
